Seoul: 16 March 2024: South Korea's Squid Game actor O Yeong-su has been convicted of sexual misconduct, according to a local court announcement on Friday. The 79-year-old, who won a Golden Globe Award for best supporting actor in a series in 2022 for his role in the Netflix series, was charged with assaulting a woman in 2017. The Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court stated that the actor has been sentenced to eight months in prison, with the sentence suspended for two years. Additionally, he has been ordered to attend 40 hours of classes on sexual violence.
