Perth/Islamabad: 29 Dec 2023: An enraged Australia defeated Pakistan by 79 runs in the second Test on Friday, sealing the series with five wickets and ten for the game thanks to Pat Cummins. Despite a valiant effort, the visitors were bowled for 237, with just 18 runs scored from the final five wickets, falling short of the target of 317 runs.
The main destroyer was Cummins, who took 5-49 in addition to his first-inning 5-48, only his second 10-wicket haul in his Test career. On the final day, just when it appeared that the game would come down to the wire, the bowler intervened to dismiss batsman Mohammad Rizwan and record his 250th test wicket.
