Islamabad: 18 Jan 2024: China called on Pakistan and Iran to exercise "restraint" on Wednesday, following Islamabad's condemnation of what it called Iran's "unprovoked violation of its airspace." After midnight, the Foreign Office (FO) issued a statement stating that strikes on Pakistani territory had caused "the deaths of two innocent children while injuring three girls."

Although the incident's location was not disclosed by the FO, Iranian state media said that the attack happened in the Balochistani border town of Panjgur. The location in Balochistan known as Kouh-Sabz (green mountain) was the primary center of this operation, according to Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency.
According to the news agency, "a combination of missile and drone attacks specifically targeted and successfully demolished two key strongholds of the Jaysh al-Dhulm (Jaish al-Adl) terrorist group in Pakistan."
