New York: 28 June 2023: James Crown, a Chicago billionaire and significant supporter of Jewish causes, passed away on Sunday while enjoying his 70th birthday at a racecourse in Colorado. Crown served as the head of Henry Crown and Company, the family-owned investment company that bears his grandson James' name. Additionally, he served on the boards of General Dynamics and JPMorgan. In 2020, Forbes put the Crown family's wealth at $10.2 billion.
