Moscow: Russia has detained 11 individuals, including four suspected gunmen, in relation to a shooting spree that resulted in the deaths of at least 115 individuals in a concert hall near Moscow, as reported by the Kremlin on Saturday.

The militant group Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for Friday's assault, which stands as the deadliest in Russia in two decades. Nevertheless, there are signs that Russia is investigating a potential Ukrainian connection, despite a statement from Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak asserting that Kyiv was not involved.

Gunmen, armed with automatic weapons, also ignited a flammable liquid to set Moscow's Crocus City Hall ablaze, as stated by Russia's Investigative Committee. As previously reported, the fire required hours for rescuers to extinguish and resulted in the collapse of the concert hall's roof.
