Tamil Nadu: 3 Feb 2024: Tamil Star Vijay Ventures into Politics with the Launch of Political Party South Indian actor Vijay has stepped into the political arena with the inauguration of his political party named "Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam," which loosely translates to "Tamil Nadu Victory Party."
The party was officially formed after leaders of the Tamizha Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) appointed Vijay as its chief. The newly established political entity,
"Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam," is anticipated to play a significant role in the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections scheduled for 2026. Vijay has clarified that his party will not participate in the Lok Sabha elections and has decided not to extend support to any other political party. This decision was reached during the party's recent general council and executive council meetings.
