LAHORE: 01, JANUARY, 2022: Remembering renowned comedian, singer and film actor Rangeela on his 85th birth anniversary today (Saturday).
Rangeela, with the original name of Muhammad Saeed Khan.
He was born in Parachinar, district Kurram of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 1, 1937.
Rangeela's famous film ‘Diya Aur Toofan’ was a classic work as actor and director.
The legendary actor worked in over 300 films throughout his career.
He was not only a superb comedian; he was also an intellectual who knew the art of film-making inside-out. He was an actor, director, producer, writer and singer at the same time.
The song `Gaa Mere Manwa Gaata Ja Re’ is still fresh in the memories of the music-lovers. The song was sung by Rangeela himself and it featured in Diya aur Toofaan.
Rangeela died on May 24, 2005 at the age of 68. (04)
